Boy vs Girl

So, the hubby and I have decided to have another baby. A few months ago, we had had a slip up (which did not yield a bun), but I had mentioned to P if it had been a go, based on the Chinese calendar it would've been a girl. Now, understand, my husband is a man's man (more like a caveman, sometimes) and he had a nerve to be like, "Well, thank God we dodged that", which made me feel kind of sad inside. Now, truth be told, I don't care what gender my kid is as long as he or she is healthy, but I wouldn't mind having a set (boy and girl).

Unfortunately, P is dead set against us having a girl (like he really has a choice)! I can't understand if it's more a fear of raising or caring for a girl or if he just hates little girls. It can't possibly be the latter, because I have seen him at the rink, friend's houses and parties with the lil' girls and they adore him. He lets them climb on him, braid his dreadlocks, play with his PalmPre (he barely lets me do that), etc. He makes them laugh, teases them, and treats them like princesses. Seeing those interactions just makes me want to have a little girl to see if he'd do the same for her.

I guess I shouldn't take the bastard at his word, since he was the same dude who once uttered the phrase, "Pregnant woman are disgusting" during a hot debate our first year dating. Turned out after that argument and some valid points from yours truly, he began to see the light. He also was the same man who when I got pregnant made me feel like the prettiest thing in the world, at night he'd hold my tummy and rub it lovingly, or he'd lean in to hear our son kick about. He definitely did not find it disgusting. So, no, I can't believe that he would hate the thought of having a little girl, if it happened. I should know him by now that sometimes he just spit before he thinks.

Pray for me ya'll!
